Wilma "Toosie" Johnson Noble, 69, of Rochester, NY, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Kindred Hospital, Green Cove Springs. A native of Havana, FL, she was the daughter of Perry and Annie B. Johnson, born on Monday, August 28, 1950. She was a 1968 graduate of Havana Northside High School. She subsequently relocated to Morrisville, PA and was employed as mental health assistant for Pennsylvania State Hospital.
She later moved to Rochester, NY to reside with her Aunt, Ella Clyde Gouch, who was very dear to her heart. She graduated from the Rochester Continental Beauty School, as she was passionate about the ethics of hair and loved the art of dress and clothing design.
Wilma accepted Christ in her life and was baptized at the early age of 12, and through the years always maintained a personal relationship with God. She was a faithful member of Grace Community Fellowship Church in Rochester, NY, under the leadership of Pastor Douglas Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband , Ronnie Noble; sisters , Lucille Johnson and Mildred Cunningham; brother , Capers Douglas; and a host of aunts and uncles .
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Philip (Karla) Noble, Jeremiah (Tiffany Hicks) Noble, Rochester, NY; daughter, Ayondela Shamara Noble, Montgomery Village, MD; 7 grandchildren, Zipporah, Saephira, Judah, Jeremiah Jr., Gabriel, Hezekiah and Anan Noble; sister , Brenda (Larry Spencer) Barksdale, Middleburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .
A Memorial Celebration will be 1 p.m., on Saturday, January 11, at St. Mark's Missionary Baptist Church, 2703 Foreman Circle, Middleburg, Rev. W.E. Alston, Pastor. Elder Jerome Dillard, Chaplain, Rochester, NY, officiating.
