Willie Lee Valentine, 74, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, Gainesville.
Willie Lee Valentine, was born on Friday, December 30, 1949, in Palatka, Florida to Earnest, Sr. and Letha Mae (Alexander) Valentine. He was a 1968 graduate of Central Academy High School, Palatka. Willie was employed with Florida Furniture Industries. He was of the Christian faith. Willie enjoyed cooking, watching football, eating at Burger King, listening to oldies music (70s & 80s), and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Earnest "Boe-Jack" Valentine, Jr., Dave Thompson; sisters, Linda Valentine, Sandra "Mama Gal" Thompson; great-granddaughter, Caylee Thomas.
Precious memories of Willie remain with: his loving daughters, Dr. Letha (Thomas) Valentine, Keashia (Chavarro) Thomas, Tonya Valentine, all of Palatka; son, Eric Phillips, Palatka; grandsons, Farshaun Pinkston, Jr, Orlando; Corniek Thomas, Palatka; granddaughters, Kierra Robinson, Gainesville; Kanecia (Kevin) Jones, Sanford; Lakera Burch, Palatka; Courteney (Dominic) Brown, Middleburg; Elexa (Jordan) Morgan, Fayetteville, NC; loving great granddaughter, Demi Willis; brothers, Freddie Valentine, Sr., Ronald Valentine, Sr., Samuel Thompson, all of Palatka; dedicated sisters, Faye Valentine, Palatka; Joanne Thompson, Kathy Thompson, both of Gainesville; Margaret Valentine, Jasper; loving aunt, Dorothy Alexander Bascom, Cocoa; devoted nephew, Mashawn McCaskill; devoted niece, Tasha Hardy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024 at The House of God Church, 723 N. 19th St, Palatka. Bishop Gilbert L. Evans, Jr., Pastor and Eulogist. Interment: Oak Hill West Cemetery, 712 S. Palm Ave, Palatka.
