Willie Charles Session, 50, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Kindred Hospital-North Florida in Green Cove Springs following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, born Wednesday, November 23, 1960. He was a 1978 graduate of Palatka High School and was active in the High School Band (Trombone, Xylophone, and Percussionist). Willie earned certification in electronics at the St. Augustine Vocational Technical School. He was a retired custodian who was formerly employed at Huntley Brothers and later the ARC of Putnam County, where he subsequently supervised and chauffeured the ARC custodial staff to numerous work sites. Willie really loved the Lord and joined the fellowship of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church on Sunday, November 1, 1992. In spite of Willies physical limitations, he kept a vibrant smile and enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a member of the former United Community Gospel Choir. Willie was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan and a coin collector. His television favorites included Bonanza, Gun Smoke, and the Young and Restless.
Willie was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Willie Zell Session; sister, Sharon Williams, (NJ); grandparents; Sam (Maybelle) Session, Sr., Lee (Thelma) Miller, Sr., and Clarence (Edna Mae) Williams, Sr.
To cherish his memories: beloved son, Willie Johnson Henry Session, Palatka; parents; Juanita Session, Palatka; Johnson Session, Sr., Palatka; Willie Charles (Pauline) Williams, Asbury Park, NJ; siblings, Johnson John Session, Jr., Larry Session, Gregory Session, Sharon L. (John L.) Williams, Kenneth Session, Thirus Jones, Lakeasha Monique Session, Kedric Session, Jeremy Session, Jasmine Session, Kabrisha Ayanna Session all of Palatka; Anthony Session, NY; Allen, Renata, and Lisa Williams, all of New Jersey; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 13, at The Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor, Eulogist.
Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery. The cortege will assemble at 12:30 pm. Saturday at the Sessions residence, 400 Browning Avenue, Palatka
