Willie Lee King, Jr., 43, of Pomona Park (formerly Crescent City), entered the sunset of life on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The son of Willie Lee King, Sr. and Cherlyn Dock, he was born on Friday, May 4, 1973 in Palatka. He was educated in the Putnam County School District at Crescent City High School. He was employed as a truck driver with Armellini and he really enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Zenovia King; uncles, James Willie Frank and Joe Frank; aunt, Ernestine Odom.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sons and daughters, Va'Sha King, Crescent City, Malik King, Gainesville, Kimani King, Izavella King; step-son, Ian Rouda, all of Delaware City, DE; siblings, Theresa Dock (Ernest Fuller), Latronda Davis, Eugene Glover, all of Crescent City; John King, Orlando; Denosa (Larry) Addison, Anthony Glover, both of St. Petersburg; maternal grandmother, Flora Bell Frank, Crescent City; aunts, Jessie Mae (Joseph) Ledbetter, Crescent City, Louise King-Gordon, Interlachen; uncle, Fred Frank (Shirley Dudley), Crescent City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The King family is hosting a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 286 Smiley Store Road, Crescent City. Reverend Michael Robinson, pastor, officiating
