Willie Lee Jones II, 65, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Kindred Hospital-North Florida in Green Cove Springs, following an extended illness. A native of Palatka, he was the son of Willie Lee Jones, Sr., and Ruth Elizabeth Jenkins, born on Wednesday, October 1, 1947. He was a 1966 graduate of Central Academy High School. He was a retired hospital laundry technician and previously a migrant laborer. Willie Lee accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized. His hobbies included helping others and he enjoyed sports. He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents. Those who cherish his memories: beloved son, Willie (Juanita) Jones III, Columbus, GA; daughters, Breanna Jones and Vanessa Jones; grandchildren; brother, Jack A. Harrell, Jr. and sister, Sadie J. (Moses Ginwright) Allen, all of Palatka; uncles, Nathan Jenkins, Palatka; Ivory (Ella) Wright, Hampton, GA; the mother of his children, Bettye Fuller, Palatka; many caring friends, including Sis. Joyce LaBrew, Palatka; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 15. Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 16 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity," 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. Reverend James McGriff, pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church, is the Officiant. The cortege will assemble at 12:30 p.m., Saturday at his sister's residence, 720 N. 19th Street, Palatka. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens
