Willie Louis "Buddy" Jackson Sr., 84, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, Gainesville. The son of Woodrow and Aretha Jackson, Sr., he was born on Sunday, April 2, 1939 in Williston, Florida. He attended Central Academy High School. He was employed by Tally Box Co. and Florida Furniture until their closing. "Buddy" enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his wife, Evone Wiggs Jackson; daughter and son, Doretha Jackson, Willie L. Jackson, Jr.; siblings, Woodrow Jackson, Jaufees Peoples, Margaret Cobb, Mary Frances Myra, Annette Waldon.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters and son, Beverly Brown, Willie Mae Jackson, both of Macon, GA; Johnnie Jackson, Palatka; Tammy Jackson, New York; siblings, Robert Jackson, Palatka; Leroy Jackson, Shirley Washington, Pairlee Andrew, Paul Collins, all of Palatka; Jessie Lee Bartley, Angie Graham, Deland; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; special friend/sister-in-law, Geraldine Scott; special friend/caregiver, Stacy Bowles; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 19; Celebration of Life at 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, Flagg's Chapel of Serenity, Elder Johnny Bunch is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
