Willie James Dada Anderson Sr., 68, of Seville, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his residence. The son of Paul and Rosa Lee (Morris) Anderson Sr. he was born Monday, June 2, 1941 in Sylvania, Georgia. He was educated in the Volusia County School District and was a lifelong resident of Seville. In 1964, he was united in marriage to the former Ira Dell Johnson Anderson and to their union three daughters and two sons were born. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Pierson (Pastor Lavon Thomas) where he served on the Deacons ministry. In his earlier years, he worked in citrus and fern. He became a self-made fernery entrepreneur and was a retired custodian in the Volusia County School District. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, trucking, and visiting with relatives. Two brothers, John Anderson and Robert Lee Anderson, preceded Willie James in eternal rest.
To cherish his memories are: his children, Adrienne, Rabbit Anderson-Henry (husband, Chester), Bunnell; Gaila M. Gatortail Anderson-Partridge (husband, Trent), Lauderhill; Willie William Mann James Anderson, Jr. (wife, Vontrice), Loganville, GA; Michael T. Boop Anderson, and Elisha Denise Meece Puckett Anderson, both of Atlanta, GA; Sisters, Pauline Anderson, Seville; Lou Eva Anderson and Coletha Howard, both of Deland; Brother, Paul Anderson, Jr. (Jean Anderson), Seville, FL; 5 Grandchildren; former wife of 32 years, Ira Dell Johnson Anderson, Seville; Devoted cousin (Like a devoted Sister), Patricia Morris Johnson (husband, Robert), Palatka; Special Aunt, Susie Morris, Palatka; Special Friend, Rose Faison, Crescent City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Friday October 30, at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31st at Community Christian Assembly, 235 W. Washington Avenue, Pierson, Pastor Max Tyus. Reverend Wilburn Harpe, Heavenly Manna Outreach Ministries, Cassadaga, FL is the eulogist. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery in Seville.
