Wilene Jean (Ellerby) Session, 69, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring, St. Augustine, following an extended illness. The daughter of Daniel Ellerby, Sr. and  Clara (Holmes) Ellerby, she was born on Tuesday, October 19, 1954 in East Palatka. She was educated in the Putnam County School District.  She was a bus driver with Ride Solutions and retired after serving over 25 years of employment.  Wilene enjoyed fishing, cooking, and socializing with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Wilene also preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Izel Session; sisters, Helen (Joe) Hunter, Minnie Ree McKnight Alexander, Robert Lee Ellerby, Daniel Ellerby, Jr., Gladis Alexander, Murlene Ellerby, and Bernie Ellerby.

Wilene leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Thelma McLean; sons, Jaylyn Session and Alvin Session; grandchildren, Emily Coleman, Jaylyn Session Jr, and Zayne Session; brothers, Aaron (Angie) Ellerby, David Ellerby, James Ellerby; sisters, Mary (Elmo) Woodberry, Renea (Calvin) McIntosh, and Diane (Craig) Belton; godson, Vernon Bryant; aunt, Joyce Ellerby; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Wilene's Life will be 2 p.m. (with visitation one hour prior), Saturday, January 13 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity."
