Wilbert Utsey, Sr., was born on Sunday, June 24, 1928, in South Philadelphia. Wilbert Utsey was married for 57 years to Shirley F. Utsey, who preceded him in eternal rest. Three children were born to this union and they will cherish his memory: Lorraine, Wilbert Jr. (Valerie), and Duane (Rena). Wilbert was an Army Veteran. After an honorable discharge, he later worked in the textile industry and for the City of Philadelphia. His Christian service was exhibited during his tenure as Chairman of the Deacon board for Canaan Galilee Baptist Church.  He rendered extensive community service as well until retiring and eventually moving to Palm Coast, Florida. He was 96 years old when he received his heavenly wings on Friday, November 1, 2024, at  AdventHealth Palm Coast. Wilbert Utsey will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
