Wavey "Aunt Pegs" Dennis, 95, of Palm Coast, peacefully entered the sunset of life on Valentine's Day, February 14, at her residence. On February 9, 1924, a baby girl was born to parents, Rachel and David Dennis, on the lovely island of Jamaica, Stanmore Hill District, St. Elizabeth parish. She attended St. Albans School, Jamaica and fulfilled a course in Cosmetology. She was a seamstress and hair dresser. She migrated to England in the early 1950's where she enrolled in Nursing School and was employed at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Darby. She migrated to the United States in the late 1950's, and was employed at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for almost 40 years. On February 21, 1987, Wavey accepted the Lord and was baptized at the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church of the Northern Conference, Bronx., NY., and became a renowned Sabbath School teacher. In 1997, she relocated to Palm Coast and became a member of Palm Coast Seventh-Day Adventist Church. "Peggy Sue" was generous with her time, talent (cooking) and resources. In addition to her parents, her six siblings preceded her in eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted caregivers, Lois Saleem and Helen Hunte, both of Palm Coast; and her Palm Coast Seventh-Day Adventist Church family.

A Celebration of Wavey's life will be at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 with public visitation one hour prior to services at the Palm Coast Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5650 Belle Terre Blvd., Palm Coast, FL with Elder Olney Williams, eulogist.
