Obituary

Mrs. Vivian Ann Cooper-Reed was a native of Morgan, Georgia, born on Tuesday, August 24, 1948. The daughter of Jewel and Cleo (Cisrow) Holton, she was reared from early childhood by her maternal aunt and uncle, Tommy and Lucy Kate Cooper. She was educated in the Highlands County Florida School District and was a 1966 graduate of E. O. Douglass High School, Sebring. She subsequently earned certification as a Nursing Assistant from the Brevard County Vocational-Technical Institute, Cocoa. She was employed as a C.N.A. for over 20 years in numerous facilities throughout Florida and retired at Beverly Health & Rehab Center (Palm Coast) due to declining health. She was united in marriage to Louis Leroy Reed. In 2010, Vivian joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast and was a faithful servant until her declining health no longer allowed her to serve. Her hobbies include working, cooking, and traveling in the truck with her husband. Following an extended illness, Vivian was called to her eternal home at 5:25 p.m., on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her sister Elizabeth Cisrow; sister-in-law, Pearlie Mae Hill. Vivian leaves to cherish her loving memory, a very devoted, loving, and attentive husband, Louis L. Reed, Palm Coast; two devoted and loving children; Tawana Cooper Grainger, Palm Coast; Chauncey Battle (Tara), Naugatuck, CT; 4 grandchildren, D'Auri, Palm Coast; Rahmel, Orlando; Nevaeh, Naugatuck; and Antwjuan, Norfolk, VA; loving and devoted brother, Curtis Cisrow (Jean), Athens, GA; 4 step-sons, Louis, Jr., Timothy, Derrick, and Darren Reed; step-daughter, Angela Reed-Moore; sisters-in-law, Rosetta Payne, Holly Hill; Henrietta Allen-Henderson, Deland; Margaret Allen-Francis, Deland; Beverly Owens (John) Lakeland; Bonnie Cooper, Sebring; brothers-in-law, William Bess Allen, Deland; Richard Reed, Orlando; Willie Hill, Deland; goddaughter, Porsche Daniels, Tampa; longtime, devoted friend, Rose Joyce Daniels, Rockledge; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 11 a.m., until time of services on March 2, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity" 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. A Celebration honoring Vivian's life will commence at 2 p.m. Rev. Edwin E. Coffie, Pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Palm Coast, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel in loving memory of Vivian Ann Cooper-Reed.
