Virginia Sue "Ginny Sue" Nettles, 83, of Palatka, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017 at her residence. A native of Leesburg, she was born on Thursday, July 27, 1933, to Jack and Gladys (Hagan) Spivey. She was educated in the Lake County FL School District. Sue, as she was affectionately called, was affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star and the Woman's Club of Palatka for many years. She loved to sew, read, shop, and play golf. Sue was preceded in eternal rest by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband of 35 years, John Olan Nettles, Palatka; two sons, Harlan Leroy Bell, Roland, AR, Michael Bell, Curry, AL; step-daughter, Teri McClellan, Gainesville; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
