Obituary

Victoria Veronica Medley, 58, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Jacksonville. The daughter of Adam Danford Bostick, Jr. and Alice Marjorie (Savage) Bostick, she was born on Wednesday, July 29, 1959 in Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the Hillsborough County School District in Tampa and Plant City and was a 1977 graduate of Plant City High School. Following graduation, she enlisted into the U.S. Army and served as a Food Service Specialist for 3 years, earning a Marksman (Rifle M-16A1) Badge and was honorably discharged on June 27, 1980. She was a resident of Palatka from 1985 until her eternal transition. Victoria continued her pursuit of education at St. Johns River Community (State) College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate of Arts degree. As a young working mother to her four year old daughter, Heleyna, Victoria caught the eyes of Paul Medley and they were united in marriage on Saturday, June 8, 1985. During Victoria's distinguished career over the course of over thirty years, she blessed hundreds of lives through her services as a devoted caregiver, culminating as Social Service Director for Crestwood Nursing Center of Palatka since 1998.

Deaconess Medley received the baptism of the Holy Ghost 35 years ago and was a very active servant of God at the Palatka House of God Church under the leadership of Bishop G.L. Evans, Jr. She served on the Board of Trustees and the Deaconess Board. She served as the Recording Secretary, leader of the Communion Preparation Committee and also as a Sunday Bible School Adult Class teacher for many years. She was affectionately known by many as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who never wavered in neither her faith in God, nor her love for her family and church.

In addition to her parents, Victoria was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Adam Danford Bostick, III.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Paul E. Medley, Palatka; two daughters, Heleyna C. Bostick, Melbourne; Rachel A. Medley, Palatka; two grandchildren, Amarien Priester, Kiyan J.
