Obituary

Victoria Chandra McClendon Hall, the daughter of Albert and Rosa Lee (Brown) McClendon, was born on Wednesday, July 19, 1944 in Palatka, Florida. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and was a member of the class of 1962 at Central Academy High School, formally graduating with the class of 1964. Following graduation, Victoria relocated and entered the workforce in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She moved back to Palatka for a few years and subsequently became a resident of New York City. She was united in marriage to Clarence Herbert Hall, Jr. Upon returning home, Victoria re-united with Calvary and became active in the Usher's Ministry, Beautification & Decorations Committee and the Food Service Ministry. She faithfully participated in the Adult Women's Sunday school class, Bible Study and Prayer Meeting. Victoria was a shopper and an avid gardener who truly enjoyed being in her yard tending to her vast array of flowers. She was a well-known, respected cook who made the finest cakes. As a voracious reader and accurate Griot, she also enjoyed knitting and spending time with family.
