Mrs. Victoria Mildred Campbell, 83, native and lifelong resident of Hastings, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 5, 2013. The daughter of Lawrence & Henrietta (Bishop) Campbell, she attended the Hastings Vocational School. Victoria was a retired labor contractor with Cox Farms in Elkton and a former member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Palatka. Her hobbies included: being a homemaker, cooking, spending time with her family, raising her grandchildren and enjoying her beloved schnauzer puppy "Zion". In addition to her parents, Victoria, was preceded in eternal rest by her, daughter, Kimberly Campbell; brothers, James Campbell, Sr., Douglas Campbell, Sr., William Campbell; sisters, Mary Campbell Williams, Agnes Carter. Those who cherish her memories, sons & daughters, Epheriam (Staretha) Campbell, East Palatka; Joseph (Pricillia) Campbell, Daytona Beach; Alveta Campbell, Frankie (Faye) Threet, Tanya Campbell Jackson (fiancé Bergen Crump), all of Hastings; Deborah (fiancé Robert Delancy) Threet, Port St. Lucie; Australia Campbell, Bruce Campbell, and Glenda Gail (Keith) Williams, all of Jacksonville; Tony Maurice Campbell, Sr., Palatka; brother, Lawrence (Sylvia Ann) Campbell, Jr., Denver, CO; sister, Emel Wilcox, Boston, MA; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, 4 godchildren, devoted caregivers, long-time friends and a host of other relatives and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5 - 8 pm Thursday, September 12 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 13 at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge, 140 Gilmore Street, Hastings, Elder Thomas Cave, III, pastor. Elder Randall Chestnut, pastor, Pompey's Temple Church of God In Christ, Hastings is the eulogist. The cortege will assemble at 12:30 pm at the Campbell family's Old Hastings Road residence. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens, Palatka.
