Victor La'Shun "We We" "Wood" Howard, 45, of Daytona Beach, entered the sunset of life on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach. A native of East Palatka, he was born on Monday, April 29, 1968. Victor was educated in the Putnam County School District (Palatka High School, class of 86). He was a commercial truck driver for Titan America. He was of the Baptist faith. "Vic" enjoyed spending time with family & friends, being the "life of the party" and was an avid football fan, especially favoring the Dallas Cowboys. Victor was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Lorenzo "Jug" Varnes. Those who treasure his loving memories: sons, Jarquise "Rex" Howard; Jacquan "Swog" Howard; soul mate and mother of his children, Jackie "Yam" Johnson, all of Daytona Beach; beloved mother, Carrie "Shugal" (Kenneth) Davis-Saunders and grandmother, Mrs. Katie Mae Davis, all of East Palatka; sisters, Thea "Granny" Davis, Daytona Beach; Lavanda "Mammy" (Bill) Fowler-Torrence, Atlanta, GA; Laquita "Ponkie" Davis, Palm Coast; Bernadette "Eike" Davis, Palatka; brothers, Eric "Snook" Merritt; Atlanta, GA; Ronald "Pop" McClelland, Gainesville; Frank "Pooh" McClelland IV, Palatka; like a mother-in-law, Leila "Ms. Tina" Rhines, Perry; devoted as sisters-in-law, Shertina "Shaun " Hugger, Orlando; Frances James, Perry; Ella Rhines-Brown, New Castle, DE; devoted as brothers-in-law, Vincent (Maria) Rhines, Palm Coast; Trent "Bernard" (Antoinette) Johnson, Orlando; very special friends, Charles "Mr. Charlie" Hogan, Jason "Jay Boy" Thomas, both of Daytona Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 9 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." The Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 10, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Reverend Karl N. Flagg, pastor. Elder Alonzo Cooks, Associate Minister, New Life Temple Fellowship OCI, East Palatka, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka. The Cortege will assemble at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity", Palatka.
