Victor "Vic" Lander Felder, 52, of Hastings entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Northeast Florida Community Hospice Bailey Center in St. Augustine. A native of Dover, Delaware, "Vic" was a lifelong resident of Hastings, born on Monday, September 14, 1959 to Eddie George & Jessie Mae (Middlebrook) Felder. He was educated in the St. Johns County School District at Hastings High School. "Vic" was a farm laborer and an ordinary man who loved his family and friends. In his early years, he was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Hastings. He was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Eddie George "Gator" Felder; brother, Eddie "Lucky" Felder; Eric B. Felder, Sr., maternal grandparents, Bennett & Della Middlebrook; paternal grandparents, Eddie & Maybell Felder. Victor's memories will be cherished forever by his; devoted mother; Jessie Mae Middlebrook, Hastings; caring sisters, Cornester Terry, Gainesville; Minister Glenda "GiGi" (Minister Hiawathia) Porter, Hastings; Goldia Felder and Paula (Dwayne) Shack, both of Jacksonville; Sherry Felder, Tampa; Alfreda ("J.R.") Evans, West Palm Beach; adoptive sister, Shelby Jack, Hastings; brothers, Kenneth (Annie Ruth) Felder, Danny Felder, all of Hastings; sister-in-law, Hildegard Felder, Hastings; Aunts & Uncles: Dorothy Garris, Rome, NY; Annie Felder, Federal Point; Doretha Middlebrook, Palatka; Ona Lee Donaldson, Hastings; Migonette (Sammie) Durant, Long Island, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowful friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 20, at "The Chapel of Serenity." A celebration of Victor's life will be held at 9 a.m. graveside, Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Gethsemane Cemetery. Minister Hiawathia Porter, of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Hastings, is the eulogist.
