Verdie Jean (Reynders) Lowry, 82, of North Pole, AK, entered the sunset of life on Friday, March 20, 2026 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital, Palatka. The daughter of Richard “Rich” C. and Carol J. Reynders, she was born on March 3, 1944 in Miami. Verdie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and traveling.

Verdie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard “Rich” C. and Carol J. Reynders; brother, Richard “Butch” Reynders.

Verdie is survived by her: husband, James Lowry, Sr., North Pole, AK; sons and daughters, Jolene (Douglas) Lowry Moore, Hickory, PA; Jim (Linji) Lowry, Jr., Thailand; Shona (Adam) Lowry Brown, Fairbanks, AK; John (Dana) Lowry, North Pole, AK; 8 grandchildren, Michael O’Brien, Philip O’Brien, Keagen Moore, Siri Lowry, Charles Eldred, Joshua Eldred, Ashley Kelly, Billy Kelly; several great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Reynders Lee, Liz Reynders Byrne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
