Undra Pernail "CooJay" Shorter, Jr., 36, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. The son of Brenda Nelson Davis and Undra Shorter, Sr., he was born on Tuesday, September 2, 1986 in Palatka. Undra was educated in the Putnam County School District at Palatka High School. He was of the Baptist faith. While living in Atlanta, he was employed as a store clerk. "CooJay" enjoyed entertaining, dancing, making people laugh, and spending time with his family. He was such a fun person to be around.

He was preceded in eternal rest by his mother, Brenda Davis (June 20, 2022); maternal grandparents, Arthur James and Darlena (Wright) Nelson; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Shorter; uncle, Kenny Shorter; aunt, Brenda S. Shorter.

He leaves to cherish his memories: father , Undra Shorter; stepfather , Harry Davis; brothers , Kamarre (Jevonne) Jackson, Kenneth Early, Rave Johnson; aunts and uncles, Mattie Brinson, Karen Nelson, Joe Chancel, Jr., Thomas Shorter, Jr., Melvin Shorter, Randy Shorter; and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., with Celebration of CooJay's Life commencing at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 22, at Passionate First Born Church of the Living God, 1708 Madison Street, Palatka, Elder James Matthews, Pastor. Assistant Pastor Arthur Coley is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
