November 11, 1980 – March 2, 2023
Travis Anton Hill, Sr., 42, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at UF Health Shands, Gainesville. He was born in Gainesville, FL to Eva Mae Hill and Eddie Harden. His early education was received in the Putnam County School District. During his high school years, he attended Palatka High School. Travis was employed as an assistant manager with the Save-a-Lot grocery store chain. In his spare time, he experienced relaxation and enjoyment while fishing, watching football and basketball, capturing interesting subjects as a photographer and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents and a brother, Timmie Session.
Cherished memories of Travis remain with his wife, Tondra; children, Tamera, Travis, Jr., Travin and Tylin; grandsons, Noaah and Tkyrie; brother, Steven Hill; sisters, Varonda Chandler and Shunthenia Hill; grandmother, Beatrice Wheeler; mother and father in law, Elder Allan and Linda Alexander; sister/brother in law, Allana (Ronald) Alexander, Kiev (Sheila) Alexander; aunts and uncles, Florine Pope, Yvonne (Johnnie) Jackson, Charlotte (James) Young, Virginia (James) Jones, Leitha Gibbs Johnson, Teresa (Calvester) Caison, Elvis (Marietta) Clark, Walter (Rebecca) Gibbs, Tommy (Lynn) Gibbs, Timothy Gibbs, and Latoya (Xavier) Coleman; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 10 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 11 at The House of God Church, 723 North 19th Street, Palatka, Bishop Gilbert L. Evans, Jr., Pastor is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
