Obituary

Tinya Funya Johnson Raggins, 45, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, June 17,  2021 at Baptist Emergency Center Clay, Fleming Island.  A native of Orange Park, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Johnson and Sharion Elizabeth Cleveland, born on Friday, September 5, 1975.  She was educated in the Clay County School District, attended Clay High School and was a 1994 graduate of the Banner School.  A lifelong resident of Clay County, she resided in the Oak Leaf community before returning to Green Cove Springs.  She was a 2005 graduate in the Nursing program at St. Johns River State College. She was a member of Kingdom of God Tabernacle Holiness Church under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Mildred Snell and served as church secretary, choir member, ordained minister and evangelist.  Tinya was a registered nurse, employed by Heartland Health Care Center in Orange Park. She was very compassionate and loved to provide care to her patients.  Her hobbies included shopping and assisting those in need.  She was well respected and known for providing a helping hand.

Tinya was preceded in eternal rest by her maternal grandparents , James Taylor, Sr., Ethel McRoy; paternal grandparents , George Johnson, Edna Johnson; uncles, Michael Taylor, King David Johnson; aunts, Clara Rollins, Georgia Mae Johnson, Ruby Johnson; cousin , Wanda McDuffie.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband , Tracy Lee Raggins, Sr.; parents , Robert (Theda) Johnson; Sharian (Elijah) Blount; all of Green Cove Springs; sons, Tyreece Lee, Orange Park; Tracy Lee Raggins Jr., Jacksonville ; Tavian Raggins, Treyunte Raggins, Tyler Raggins; daughter, Trini'te Raggins, all of Green Cove Springs; 5 grandchildren, Tyreece Lee Jr., Tyson Lee, Tylind Lee, Tymeir Lee, Loren Johnson; brothers , Corey Cleveland, Robert Johnson Jr., both of Green Cove Springs; sisters, Elisha (Telly) Anderson, Green Cove Springs; Robyn (Chris) Johnson Cummings, Starke; goddaughter, Myeisha Trumpler; and a host of aunts and uncles, including, uncles, James Taylor, Jr., Denver CO; Henry Johnson, Green Cove Springs; nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowful friends.

CDC guidelines will be followed for the visitation of family and friends from 5-6 p.m., Friday, June 25 at First African Missionary Baptist Church, 433 N. Palmetto Avenue, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 26, at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 State Road 16 West, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Pastor Mildred Snell, Kingdom of God Tabernacle Holiness Church, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs.
