Timothy Jrenada "Duke" Fells, 58, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center-Southside, Jacksonville. A native of Palatka, he was the son of Eugene Fells, Sr., and Claudia Larosa (Williams) Fells, born on Sunday, March 19, 1961. He was educated in the Putnam County School District at Palatka Central High School. Timothy was of the Baptist faith. He was an auto body repairman and mechanic. "Duke" as he was affectionately known, enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in eternal rest by several aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Ebony Tierra (Royce) Martin, Durham, NC; son, Derrick Frazier, Jacksonville; grandchildren, Derrick Davis, Takeya Anderson, Trinity Frazier, Derrick Frazier, Malik Frazier, Breanna Frazier, Kendall Martin, Kelsey Martin; brothers, Warren (Patricia) Fells, James Fells, Leon (Janice) Fells, Bill Fells, Ralph (Cecilia) Brown, Dexter (Lisa) Fells, Eugene (Lisa) Fells, Jr., Keith Davis, Kelvin Davis, Reno (Angelita) Fells; sisters, Glenda Fells-Sharon, Ronice (Vince) Reed, Novice Fells White, Felicia Fells-Tillery, Carol Baker, Cathy McCoy, and LaShawn Harris; aunt, Lucy Hutcherson; devoted niece, Anika Porter; devoted nephew, Christopher J. Fells; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 13 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor, is the eulogist.
