Obituary

Thomas John Kwasniewski, Sr., 61, of Interlachen, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his residence of natural causes. A native of Milwaukee, WI, he was born on Wednesday, February 14, 1951 to Lawrence S. Kwasniewski and Delores L. Hires Davenport. He attended Robert E. Lee Sr. High School, Jacksonville, FL and earned his Associate's degree in Sheet Metal Mechanics at Florida Junior College, Jacksonville. He subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam era as a Quartermaster aboard the USS Sims and earned a National Defense Service Medal, before his honorable discharge. He was united in marriage on April 29, 1978 to the former Renee Munn. Thomas was a beloved and devoted father. Those who treasure his loving memories: two sons and daughter, Thomas J. Kwasniewski, Jr., (U.S. Marine stationed in Afghanistan); Shaun L. Kwasniewski, (Submariner based in Kingsland, GA); Kayla M. Kwasniewski, (retail sales representative) Jacksonville; his children's mother, Renee Kwasniewski, Jacksonville; Thomas also leaves 2 brothers, Stephen Kwasniewski, Jacksonville; and Richard Kwasniewski, Interlachen; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8th, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity," 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. Longtime family friend, Linda Thompson of Middleburg, is the Officiant. Memorialization is by cremation with a private burial scheduled at a later date.
