Obituary

Thomas Lee Hendrieth-Link, 65, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka.  A native of Bath, NY, he was the son of Thomas Lee Link, Sr. and Lillie Bell Hendrieth, born on Wednesday, September 15, 1954. During his childhood years, the family moved to Palatka. He was educated in the Putnam County School District, graduating from Palatka Central High School, class of 1974, and subsequently attended St. Augustine Technical School. In 1977, Thomas relocated to Miami and while residing there he was employed a custodian and also worked in construction. Thomas was united in marriage to the former Yvonne C. Hall. In 1999, he returned to Palatka. He enjoyed fishing, sports, traveling, watching TV, and spending time with his family. He was an avid NASCAR, FL State Seminoles and Dallas Cowboys football fan.

Thomas was preceded in eternal rest by his son, Thomas L. Link, III; fathers, Thomas Lee Link, Sr., Roosevelt Brooks; paternal grandparents , Areese and Ida Mae (McGee) Link; maternal grandparents , Luther and Minnie Hendrieth; maternal great-grandparents, Freddie Mack and Lillie Bell Gaskin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife, Yvonne Hall Hendrieth-Link; loving mother, Lillie Bell Brooks; children, Jason (Teneeka) Hall; Tameritra Link, both of Palatka; Chelsea Ware, Macon, GA; Thomasina Link, Gainesville; Lillian Link, Thomas Bernard Link, Antonio Link, all of Palatka; Tandria Link, St. Augustine; Marcus Hall, Palatka; Delvon (Julie) Hall, Havelock, NC; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren ; sisters, Ida Louise Link, Jacksonville; Athenia Link, Jonesboro, GA; Samantha Mack, Long Island, NY; brothers, Bernard Link, Cleveland, OH; Thomas E. Link, Jacksonville; Eddie Link, Tyrone Link, Rasheen Mack, all of Long Island, NY; Justin Link, Greenville, SC; brothers-in-law, Izell Hendrieth, Sr., Palatka; Robert (Alice) Hall, Jacksonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a limited, socially-distanced visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday June 26, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Life will be held graveside at Resthaven Cemetery, 690 Old San Mateo Road, San Mateo, at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 27, Elder Leo Parker, pastor of The Emerge Church of Palatka, is the eulogist.
