Theressa McCray Simmons, 42, of Green Cove Springs (native of Palatka), entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, Orange Park. The daughter of Willie Lee Simmons and Fannie Lee McCray, she was born on Monday, October 10, 1979. She was a 1998 graduate of Palatka High School.  She obtained several certifications specifically as a security guard and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was employed by Sysco Food Services as a selector/inventory specialist. Theressa was the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Theressa was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Tyrone Simmons; sister, Linda Simmons.

Public Visitation: 4:30-6 p.m., Friday, July 1; Celebration of Life: 2 p.m., Saturday, July 2 at Calvary's Family Life Center, 1414 Bronson Street, Palatka, Florida 32177 . Rev. Andrew McRae, Pastor, Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Gainesville, is the eulogist. Interment:  Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka.
