Theresha C. Bland, 73, of Riverhead, NY, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Kanas Center of Hospice Care, Quiogue, NY.
A native and former resident of Seville, she was the daughter of Fred Bland, Sr. and Dennie Lee Robertson, born on Monday, April 2, 1945. Theresha was employed as a housekeeper at Lakewood Nursing Home, Crescent City for many years and also formerly worked as a migrant worker. She enjoyed going to church, singing, spending time with family and in social gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Tyrone Dillard; siblings, Yvonne Bland, Joyce Bland Jackson, Vivian Bland Murphy, Cynthia Gadson, Herman Maefield, and Fred Bland, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Karen Toomer-Grinam, Riverhead, NY; son, Alfonzo Dillard, Palm Coast; grandchildren, Casey, Alexander, and Macy, all of Palm Coast; sisters, Lawanda (Clinton) Graham, Township, MI; Denise Bland, Crescent City; Cedell Butler, Deltona; Nicole Bland Simmons, Atlanta, GA; Janice Earl, Ft. Walton Beach; Harriett Jordan, Crescent City; brothers, Alphonso Bland and Garnard Wright, both of Crescent City, Lonnie Kennell, Sr., Pittsburg, PA; Lonnell Kennell, Crescent City; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Maefield, Nahunta, GA; brother-in-law, Milton Murphy, Sr., Pierson; goddaughters, Charmaine Johnson, Palm Coast; Victoria Langston, Seville; honorary brother, Larry Addison; special family members, Gale Jones, Daryl Jones, Marvin McGary, Fredrick Manual, Tywan Jones Sr., Latasha Moore, Shauntell Miles, Tote'Anna Moore, Jayveona Nash-Jones, De'Marion Williams, Tywan Jones Jr., all of Riverhead, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5:30-7 p.m., Friday, January 18 and Celebration of Theresha's life will be 3 p.m., Saturday, January 19 at New Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1227 Old Highway 17, Crescent City.. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Seville.
