Tammy "Tami Lea" Ramsey, 57, of East Palatka, transitioned on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her Hiawatha Condominium residence. A native of West Palm Beach, she was the daughter of Robert and Leatrice Hall Hardison, Sr., born on Thursday, March 20, 1958. She was educated in the Palm Beach County School District and was a terrific and most amazing athlete (a very fast sprinter and a lifelong swimmer). Upon graduation, she attended cosmetology school, subsequently becoming a hair salon entrepreneur. She opened several salons over the years. For many years, she was owner-operator of the Blue Moon Salon in Jacksonville Beach, where she lived with her then-husband Roger, and son, Austin. "Tami Lea" was a "pretty decent cook" and a "neat freak" that was deeply loved by her friends. She was the light, the center of attention, and all her friends were like moths drawn to the light. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, gardening, listening to music, and going to the beach. She also had a special for her cats and her plants. Tammy was a very loving person and a superb mother to Austin, who she considered as her greatest gift in life. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Austin Colinn Ramsey, Flagler Beach; brother, Bobby Hardison, North Carolina; her ex-husband, Roger Ramsey, Flagler Beach; and a host of other relatives and loving friends. A Memorial Celebration in honor of Tami Lea's life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 30, at The Hiawatha Condominiums - 116 Hiawatha Court, East Palatka
