Steve "Seymour" Williams, 71, of Gainesville (formerly Crescent City) entered the sunset of life on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Shands @ UF Medical Center, Gainesville. The son of Willie Williams and Cora Lee Jackson, he was born on Saturday, October 20, 1945 in Seville. He was educated in the Volusia County School District. In his early years, he attended The House of God Church, Crescent City. Steve was presently a member of Fairbanks Church of God by Faith, Gainesville. He was a longtime migrant worker who enjoyed singing, listening to music, going to church, and spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife of 18 years, Louise Williams, Gainesville; daughters, Rosalyn Williams, Vanessa (Antoine) Ford, Gainesville; Gloria Williams, Crescent City; Regina Davis, Zekiba Davis, Brunswick, NJ; son, Steve Williams, Jr., Daytona Beach; 23 grandchildren, Rontrice Simmons, Shaquana Davis, Tyriq Davis, Lillian Rogers, Nicholas Daniels, Jahbuil Davis-Pitman, Asaad Davis-Pitman, Davary Davis-Pitman, Tarijonna Bonaparte, Timothy Rogers, Shania Evans, Octavia Williams; Ajaan Davis, Dashawn Williams, Phillip Bonaparte, Kiana Randall, Kiara Randall, Shaniya Williams, Lanjah Ford, Lamya Jenkins, Asia Ford, Zekiba Bonaparte; 5 great-grandchildren, Amarie, Charles, Addielyn, Ni'elle, De'monta; sisters, Ruth Sands, Boston MA; Willimena Williams, Daytona Beach; Blond Eva Williams, Deloris Williams, both of Palatka; brother, Thomas Williams, Pomona Park; and a host of other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Golden Hardy, Clarence Fulton, and Willie Carter.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, October 13 at Fairbanks Church of God by Faith, 6895 NE 57th Street, Gainesville, Elder Jeremiah Lee, Pastor.
