Sidney Bellamy Sr., 51, of Jacksonville, entered the sunset of life on Monday, Jan. 14th, 2008, at his residence. Sidney was a native of Palatka and was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. Sidney was formerly employed as a supervisor at the former Paramount Poultry Plant in Fleming Island and as a forklift operator at Ready Ice Plant in Jacksonville. His hobbies included fishing and he was an avid sports fan especially enjoying football and wrestling. He attended Bible Believers Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville Sidney is preceded in eternal rest by his beloved parents, Joe & Mrs. Amanda (Hayes) Bellamy, Sr. To cherish his memories: Daughter: Felicia (Curtis) Hampton, Orange Park; Son: Sidney (Antesia) Bellamy Jr., Jacksonville; Sisters: H. Benjamin) Jackson, all of Jacksonville; Josephine (Alphonso) Brooks, Pomona Park; Brothers; Harold (Danita) Bellamy, Overseer Ronald (Annie) Bellamy Sr., Minister Joe (Evangelist Azalee) Bellamy, Jr., and Gus Steve Bellamy, all of Palatka; Anthony (Gail) Bellamy, Waycross, GA., Edward Tyrone Bellamy, Jacksonville; Aunts; Alice Thomas, Jacksonville Beach, Ruth Bellamy, Cleveland, OH., Honorary Family members; Evangelist Ernestine Bellamy Lockett, Green Cove Springs, Ida (Calvin) Jordan, Orange Park, Mary Lee Bellamy, Melbourne; 6 Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation for family & friends will be Friday, January 18th from 5-8 pm. at the Chapel of Serenity. Memorial Celebration will be Saturday, January 19th at 4 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church 719 Reid St., Palatka, Rev. James McGriff, Pastor. Rev. Curtis Beckles, Pastor of Bible Believers Christian Fellowship, Jacksonville, is the Eulogist.
