Obituary

Bishop Sidney Crawford Jr., 51, of Lakes Wales (formerly East Palatka) transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Palatka, born Tuesday, May 5, 1959 to Sidney Crawford, Sr., and Willie Mae (Davis) Crawford. He was educated in the Putnam County School District and a graduate of Palatka South High School. He was united in holy matrimony to Frances Marilyn Camps on October 26, 1985. He was a retired control center operator for Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) and safety manager. He loved the Lord and served Him through numerous integral leadership roles and numerous ministries throughout the state of Florida, including; The Holy Temple of God, Hedges and Highway Ministries, Free Church of Deliverance, Crawford Christian Center, and presently at Greater St. Thomas Holiness Church, Lake Wales. He was preceded in eternal rest by his father; Deacon Sidney Crawford, Sr.

To cherish his memories; loving wife of over 25 years, Frances Marilyn Camps-Crawford, Lake Wales; cherished sons, Thadius Crawford, Palatka; Sidney (Danielle) Crawford III, Lake Wales; Seadric (Chiquita) Crawford, Lake Wales; devoted Mother, Evangelist Willie Mae Crawford, Palatka; beloved Sisters, Valerie (Donald) Bennett, East Palatka; Barbara Young, Painter, VA; Cynthia (Victor) Melendez, Palatka; brothers, Pastors Todd E. & Beverly Camps Crawford, Gainesville; Minister Bruce Davis, Jacksonville; Eric Robinson, Arlington, TX; Cesnae Jamel (Yashica) Crawford, San Francisco, CA; maternal grandmother, Doris Davis, East Palatka; 6 Grandchildren;A host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and Friends will be Friday, April 22, from 5-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity.

Homegoing Celebration will be 12 noon Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. Bishop Roscoe Williams III, pastor of Greater St. Thomas Holiness Church is the eulogist.

Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka.
