Shirley Ann "Shirley Boo" Utley, 75, native and lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg. The daughter of James Turner, Sr. and Arty English, she was born on May 18, 1945. Shirley was educated in the Pinellas County School System and was a 1963 graduate of Gibbs High School. She was a retired supervisor from Hunter-Douglas. Shirley was an active member and class leader at Bethel A.M.E. Church, and has been a member since childhood.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Lawanda McCarter, Larnetta (Ernest) Peterson; grandchildren, Tameka "Tara" Flowers Jones, Ernest Peterson II, Jairius Peterson, Keyanna (Jamie) Hayes; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 9-11 a.m., Homegoing Celebration will commence at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 29, at New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3455 21 ^st Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Florida 33711.
