Sharon Y. Durden, 42, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, February 23rd at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. The daughter of Mr. Frank & Emma Grace Durden, she was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, born April 26, 1965. She was educated in the Putnam County School District (Palatka High School class of 86). Sharon was formerly a cashier at McDonalds food restaurant and was a member of Mt Tabor First Baptist Church. She is preceded in eternal rest by her brothers Theodore Johnson, Freddie Lee Durden, sisters, Paulette Durden and Viola Durden. She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted parents, Frank & Emma Durden, Palatka; daughter, Lamiracle McGee, Palatka; caring friend; Tommy Holcy, brothers & sisters, Frederick Johnson, Gainesville, FL., John (Jerry) Johnson, Patricia Bell, both of Atlanta, GA., Frank Durden, Jr., Frankie Mae Durden, both of St. Augustine, James Durden, Paul Durden, Robert Durden, Beverly Durden, Annette Moore, all of Palatka and a host of , nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday, Feb. 29th from 5-8PM at the Chapel of Serenity in Palatka. Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday, March 1st, 3 p.m. at Chapel of Serenity, 2400 Madison St. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, San Mateo.
