Mrs. Rozzie L. Feaster, 88, of East Orange, NJ, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at St. Michael's Medical Center, following an extended illness. A native of Lizella, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of Robert Hicks and Gussie Mobley, born on Sunday, August 16, 1925. She was educated in the Bibb County (Macon, GA) public school system. In her early adult years, she moved to Palatka and was a resident until the early 1960s, subsequently relocating to the New York/New Jersey region. Rozzie was a devoted Jehovah Witness and a dedicated worker in numerous capacities who worked well with people. She was a culinary specialist and restaurant entrepreneur (co-owner with her sister, Mary) for many years until retirement. Rozzie will always be remembered for her kindness, big heart, and for always helping others during their time of need. She celebrated life and cherished the time she spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Cecil Wright and sister, Mary Lizzie Johnson. Rozzie leaves to cherish her memories: daughter-in-law, Phyllis R. Wright, Augusta,GA; 7 grandchildren, Belinda (Anthony) Harrison and Steve Wright, both of Augusta, GA; Cornelius (Debra) Wright Douglasville, GA; Barry Wright Taiwan, Republic of China; MSgt Shakeera Wright, USAF Dover, DE; Reginald (Mushawna) Rasher and Cecilia Kearse, both of Palatka; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, Harriet (Eugene) Johnson of Newark, NJ; Henrietta (Courtney) Wright of Germantown, MD; 3 nephews, Robert Brooks, Palatka; Richard Johnson, Newark, NJ; Wallace Johnson, Irvington, NJ; additional Florida relatives and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation of family and friends will be 9 a.m.-12 noon Saturday, January 25 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Life at the graveside will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
