Obituary

Rosezanna "BeBe" Williams Medlock, 64, a native and resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at CoCoCay, Bahamas on the 2nd day of a 5-day family cruise. She was the daughter of Rutha Lee Williams-Borden and Walter Junior, born on Tuesday, December 22, 1953. She was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. She relocated to Philadelphia, PA., where she continued her pursuit of education. She subsequently moved back home and was a factory worker at Central States Diversified and a School Bus driver in the Putnam County School District. Upon moving back to Philadelphia, she became a certified chef at the Salvation Army's Eliza Shirley House. For over 15 years, she supervised and managed the feeding program for the residents as well as the homeless, retiring and returning to Palatka in December, 2012.

Rosezanna was a faithful and devoted member of Higher Dimensions of H.O.P.E. Ministries and loved serving the Lord through her church, especially on the Usher Board, Outreach Feeding Committee, and participating in daily prayer. Rosezanna loved cooking with a passion and she truly enjoyed feeding and caring for others. She treasured time spent with her family in Palatka and Philadelphia. She was delighted to go on cruises and overjoyed when attending the BCU-FAMU Classic in Orlando.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her step-father: Joseph Borden Sr.; sister, Theda Borden; grandson, William "Billy" Smith; cousin/like a sister, Loret Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted daughter, Von Kimberly Williams, Philadelphia, PA; brothers, Joseph (Christine) Borden Jr., Jacksonville; Minister Anthony (Helen) Williams, Sr., Bishop Eugene (Pastor Aretha) Foster, Sr., both of Palatka; sisters, Joanne Williams, St. Augustine; Pastor Beverly (Sherman, Sr.) Canty, Alveta (Oscar) Williams, Rose Junior, Faye Wright, Sharon (Kenneth, Sr.) Walker, all of Palatka; Evelena (Andrew) Borden-Campbell, Sanford; 6 grandchildren, Cherri Johnson, Richard Johnson, Patrisha Smith, Naseer, Nissa and Najee Durham; 2 great-grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Von Francis, all of Philadelphia, PA; devoted first cousins/like a brother and sister, Larry Watts and Lorine Taylor, Palatka; special friends, Margaret McFadden, Philadelphia, PA; Corlis and Horin Tomblin, Palatka; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 3 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Elder Jarvis F. Wright, Pastor of New Saint Paul Church of God in Christ, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
