Rosemary Gilyard London, 65, of Bunnell, entered the sunset of life on Monday, September 14, 2020 at AdventHealth, Palm Coast. The daughter of Sim and Marie (Singletary) Gilyard, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bunnell, born on Sunday, March 27, 1955. She was a 1973 graduate of Bunnell High School, and subsequently attended Daytona Beach Community College. Rosemary retired 7 years ago from Flagler County School District after serving 35 years as a paraprofessional. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, Sr. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, decorating, gardening, and writing poetry.
In addition to her parents , she was preceded in eternal rest by her siblings, Georgia Wright, Laura Alexander, Robert Galvin, Sr., Sim Gilyard, Jr., Thomas Galvin, Johnnie Galvin, and Clarence Gilyard, father-in-law, Ed London, Sr.; sister-in-law, Lorraine London.
Rosemary is cherished as the devoted wife of: Frank London, Sr.; loving mother of: Frank (Shondra McCarthy) London, Palm Bay; Shannon London, Bunnell; Sean (Kelly Defalco) London, Ft. Lauderdale; caring grandmother of: Nysean Giddens, Bunnell; Jayden London, Ft. Lauderdale; adoring sister of: Betty Steward, Bunnell; Pennie Harris, Espanola; thoughtful daughter-in-law of : Annie Bell London, Bunnell; beloved sister-in-law of: Eddie London, Jr., Willie London, Sr., James (Felicia) London, Patricia Harris, Gloria (Kelvin, Sr.) Gipson, Gail (Leroy, Sr.) Sampson, Sheila (George) Johnson, all of Bunnell; Theodore Alexander, Daytona Beach; Melinda (David Sr.) Myles, Palatka, Patricia Gilyard, Palm Coast, Marie Galvin, Espanola Ruby Williams, Jacksonville; and also treasuring her memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other caring relatives and sorrowful friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a socially-distanced visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 25 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 108 Knox Jones Road, Bunnell (Espanola community). A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 26 at First Baptist Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell. Elder Rayfield Gilyard is the eulogist. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.
