Rosemarie "Rose" Williams, 76, lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at UF Health Shands, Gainesville. The daughter of Mossie McRae and Kate Roberts, she was parented by her "mother" Jessie Lee Gordon. She was a native of Palatka, born on Sunday, November 12, 1944. Rose was educated in the Putnam County School District and was a 1962 graduate of Central Academy High School. She was a member of Deliverance by Grace, Pastor Aretha M. Foster and Faith Deliverance and Miracle Ministry, Apostle Stephan Jennings, Founder / Overseer. Rose was a former longtime member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. She retired from General Electric and Georgia Pacific (Tissue Converting Department), Palatka. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, caring for others, and thrift shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters, Lillie Mae McCullough, Jacqueline Morrell, Roberta McRae, Marion McRae; brother, Tyrone McRae.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons and daughters, LaForest Williams, Kelly Pugh, Lenore (Oba) Carter, Mossie Brooks, Ta'Meria (Tyrone) Faison ; former husband and friend: Lennon Williams; grandchildren, Chavarro (Deidre) Thomas, Tarvarres Williams, LaFarra Williams, La'Telvin Williams, Jamesha Willis, La'Niah Carter, La'Jada Carter, Ja'Kell (Dontarious) Johnson, Oba Carter, Jr., Ja'Daiya Willis, LaDarron Williams, K'Noah Faison, and Neveah Faison; sisters, Katherine, Juanita, Sandra, Fannie, Leila, Odessa, Vanna Ruth, Beatrice; brothers, Richard, Edward, Timothy and Michael; godmother, Marion McGriff; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation of family and friends will be from 4:30 - 6 p.m., Friday, February 19 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Rosemarie's Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 20 at Putnam County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 118 Fairgrounds Road, East Palatka, FL. Apostle Stephan Jennings, Pastor, Faith Deliverance and Miracle Ministries, Putnam Hall, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
