Roselie Prince Dorsey, 83, of Palatka (former Hastings resident), entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. The daughter of Mike "Bud" Prince and Viola Stephens, she was a native of Hastings, born on Thursday, March 16, 1933. She was educated in the St. Johns County School District. Roselie was a retired housekeeper, employed at the World Golf Village Resort. She was united in marriage to Samuel Dorsey. Roselie faithfully attended Abundant Life Ministries of Palatka. Roselie enjoyed solving cross word puzzles and she truly adored spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by daughters, Gussie Brown, Daisey Baldwin, Cynthia Robinson, Martha Baker, Violet Fagens; grandchildren, Alicia Poppelreiter, Christopher Streeter, Curtis Armstrong; sister, Carrie Lucindas-Adkison; brother; Arthur "James" Prince.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted daughters, Mary (Roosevelt) Oxendine, Palatka; Belinda (Harold) Farmer, Waycross, GA; sons, Gus Baker, Palatka; James Baker, Ridgely, MD; sister, Rosamae (Joseph) Tolbert, Hastings; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and caring friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Roselie's Life at 12 noon, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity" granddaughter, Victoria Ogaga, is the officiant.
