Obituary

Rosa Mae McNeil was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, born Friday, December 28, 1951 to Henry and Sally Mae (Watts) McNeil, Sr. She was educated in the Putnam County School District. Rosa was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. She was a hard worker as a migrant laborer who loved her family and friends. Her hobbies included fishing, providing neighborhood child care and she enjoyed cookouts. In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in eternal rest by her brother Ernest McNeil and sister, Elizabeth McNeil. She entered the sunset of life at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. To cherish her memories; brothers & sisters; Henry (Carolyn) McNeil Jr., Fairfield, NC; Sarah McNeil and Viola McNeil, both of Ft. Myers; Ricky McNeil, Willie Lee McNeil, Dora Mae (Franklin) Kaymore, Carolyn Jones, Doris Jean Matthews-Sampson, and Richard Mathews, all of Palatka; step-sister; Lisa Mathews, Palatka; step-brother; Vincent (Sharlene) Smith, Bunnell; goddaughter, Paris Lawrence, Palatka; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
