Obituary

Rosa Lee Alexander Foster, 87, of Palatka, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2020 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. A native of Union County, Raiford, Florida, she was the daughter of Emmitt Alexander and Lilla Mae Barnswell Alexander, born on Tuesday, November 8, 1932. Rosa was educated in the Union and Clay County FL School Districts. In 1954, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was truly saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. On April 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Elder Lawson "Bud" Foster, Jr. Rosa and her husband, Elder Lawson Foster became members of Church of God by Faith. She was on the Mother's Board, Missionary Board, and served faithfully in the church. She was a member of the prayer teams in church and the community. Her home was always open to anyone in need. She was employed by Southland Provision and Georgia Pacific. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, baking, cooking, making cake decorations and being present with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite saying: "I'm not a business lady, I'm a busy lady."
