Ronnie Lewis Passmore, Sr., 63, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native of Palatka, he was the son of Robert Passmore, Jr., and Lugene Colson Word, born on Saturday, June 23, 1956. He was a lifelong resident of Palatka. He was educated in the Putnam County School District, class of 1974 at Palatka Central High School and played on the PCHS bulldogs football team. He was a member of the Palatka Church of God By Faith and formerly served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Ronnie worked as a handyman in construction working as a mason and carpenter over the years before becoming disabled. He was a former employee of the Putnam County Community Action Agency. He was an avid sports fan who loved his family and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his son, Ronnie L. Passmore, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Stanfield and Alma (Herring) Colson; paternal grandparents, Robert and Edna (Robinson) Passmore, Sr.; sisters, Charlene Passmore, Valarie Passmore, and Gloria Passmore Simmons.
He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife of 26 years, Angela D. Passmore; step-son, Alfred Harris, III; grandchildren, Toriyanna Harris, Elyssia Harris; sisters and brothers, Patricia Colson, Barbara Colson, Cheran (Terry) White, Samuel (Bertha) Passmore, Tina Passmore Roberts, Kenneth (Jamica) Passmore, Corinthians (Lushonda) Anderson-Passmore, Laverne Passmore, Robert Lewis Passmore, III, LaKeshia Passmore, Kevin Dewan Passmore, Santana Passmore, Timothy (Glo) Passmore, Cynthia Brown, Anita (John) McCullough, Emma Brown, Tiffany (Arthur) Coley, Troy Reaves, Kimberly Hunter; mother-in-law, Theodosia Purifoy; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Edith) Revell; James (Gwenneth) Revell; Kenneth Revell; Milton (Sharon) Revell; sisters-in-law, Juliet Crocker; Jennifer Revell; special mother/prayer warrior, Normie M. Walcock; and a host of aunts & uncles, including: Mamie Clark, Loretta (William "Bubba") Hardy; other relatives and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines, a socially-distanced public visitation (masks required) will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 22 and a private family Homegoing Celebration at 2 p.m., on Saturday at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity (the public may join the Passmore family via Flagg-Serenity Facebook live). Elder Phillip Thomas, pastor of Palatka Church of God by Faith is the eulogist.
