Rodrick was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Jim Curry, Sr.; brothers, Timothy Curry, Sr., Richard L. Curry; maternal grandparents, Aaron and Isabella Gilyard; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mamie Curry and was succeeded by his step-sister, Alma Saunders on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted mother, Lillian C. Gilyard Lee, San Mateo ; brothers, Jim Curry, Jr., San Mateo; Jerry (Darlene) Curry, Sr.; Newport News, VA; sisters , Dr. Patricia S. (John) Curry Dorsey, East Palatka; Tansena Curry, Palatka; step-sisters and step-brothers, Marie Feaster, St. Petersburg; Minnie Collins, Deleon Springs; Joyce (Freeman, Jr.) Hinson, Daytona Beach; Wayman (Lomita) Lee, St. Petersburg; foster sister and brother, Lillie Mae (George) Jenkins, Sanford; Joe L. Butler, San Mateo; uncles, Clarence Gilyard, Sr., San Mateo; Ed Curry, Sr., Palatka; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 27 at New Bethel A.M.E. Church, 154 N. Boundary Road, San Mateo. Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. Reverend Mary A. Murphy, Pastor of New Bethel A.M.E. Church, is the eulogist.Visits: 0
