Robert Lee "Rabbit" "Pop" Ferguson, 84, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. The son of James Ferguson, Sr. and Alberta Jackson Speach, Robert was born on Thursday, July 15, 1937. He was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka. Robert was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. He was employed by American Radionic. Robert was of the Christian faith and was a former member of Pentecostal COGIC. He enjoyed shopping, eating out, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, James "Jimmy" Ferguson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, LaTonya (Reginald, Sr.) Allen; grandchildren, Daryl McCaskill, Jr., La'Darrien McCaskill, Reginald Allen, Jr.; brother, Lawrence Prince, Sr., Ocala; sister, Glovine Ferguson, Hartford, CT; great grandchildren, Jaedyn McCaskill, Kalani McCaskill; special nieces, Tomarsha Willis Smith, Retina Smith; special cousins, Rev. Jessie S. White, Jannie Redmond; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 9-11 a.m.; Celebration of Robert's Life will be 4 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor, Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
