Richard David Smith, 50, Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, Feb. 16th,. The son of Mr. Jasper & Minnie Lee (Henley-Dennard) Smith Sr., he attended Palatka High School, class of 75. Richard was formerly employed by Florida Rock/Rozien Oil Company as a truck driver, was a Licensed, certified electrician with Universal Lighting and was also a maintenance supervisor for Best Western in E. Palatka. He loved riding motor scooters, fishing and enjoyed watching football and basketball. He is preceded in eternal rest by his parents, and brother Ernest Smith He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Charlotte (Gibbs) Smith . son; Richard David Hill, Winter Haven, FL., daughter; Kamika Campbell, Orlando, FL., siblings; Jasper (Angela) Smith, Johnny Lee Smith, Georgia (Ernest) McCray, Cynthia (Thaddeus) Speed, Brenda Hill, all of Palatka, Cleveland (Janice) Smith, Orlando, FL, Albert (Willie) Smith, Haynes City, FL., two grandchildren, Five godchildren, and a host of sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday, Feb. 22nd from 5-8PM at the Chapel of Serenity in Palatka. Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, 1 p.m. at Abundant Life Ministries, 890 N. Hwy 19.
