Retha Lee Vaughn Edmonds was a native of Pineview, GA., born on Monday, July 22, 1946 to Louis Daniel Vaughn and Mae Etta (Henderson) Vaughn.  She was educated in the Clinch County, GA., School District. She was a former resident of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Retha was a licensed cosmetologist and was previously employed by the Clay County Council on Aging.  She truly loved the Lord and was a faithful, longtime member of To God be the Glory Holiness Church, Green Cove Springs. Retha absolutely enjoyed sitting on her porch, taking in nature and simply embracing the outdoors.  She spent the bulk of her life caring for others.  She especially loved being a caretaker for her parents, siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents; her son, Gregory Edmonds; brothers, Robert Vaugh, Elisha Vaughn, Eddie Vaughn, Howard Vaughn, John Vaughn, and sister, Juanita Wilcox preceded her in eternal rest. Retha peacefully transitioned at 3:40 a.m., on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Isle Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fleming Island.

To cherish her memories: sons, Anthony Jerome (Tracy) Edmonds, Carmel, IN; Kelvin Edmonds, Green Cove Springs; sister, Pecola Vaughn, Cincinnati, OH; 6 grandchildren; Tanika Thornton, Antwaunette (Javid) Rzaguliyev, Devan Edmonds, Anthony Adrian Edmonds, Alynne Edmonds, Alonia Edmonds; 6 great-grandchildren, Thomas Hilson, Jr., Marshae Chambers, Marriana Chambers, Markeith Chambers, Treasure Chambers, all of Cincinnati, OH, Aynur Rzaguliyev, Stone Mountain, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
