Raymond Lenard Bostick, 60, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. A native of Tampa, he was the son of Adam, Sr. and Alice Marjorie (Savage) Bostick, born on October 15, 1960.

Raymond graduated from Plant City High School, class of 1978. Following graduation, he served in the  U.S. Air Force for 4 years at the rank of Sergeant. He then enlisted into the U.S.  Marine Corps for 16 years and earned numerous commendations, including the Meritorious Mast Award and Letter of Appreciation. After retirement from the military, Raymond earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Leo University. He was employed at the Family Kia  dealership in St. Augustine. Raymond was also a faithful member of the House of God Church and served on the  Usher Board.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Adam Bostick Jr, and sister, Deaconess Victoria Medley.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Cherice R. Bostick and Marissa R. Bostick, Riverside; Ja'Meyka Bostick, Phoenix, AZ; son, Raymond L. Bostick, Jr. Palatka; sister,  Jacquelyn L. Bostick (Mitchell Simmons), Jacksonville; beloved ex-wife, Claire Bostick; sister-in-law, Pheloicsa Bostick; close cousins, John Jones, Jacksonville, Rev. Daniel Savage III, Tampa; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends will be 2-4 p.m., with Homegoing Celebration commencing at 4 p.m., Wednesday, September 1 ^st at House of God Church, 723 North 19 ^th Street, Palatka, Bishop G.L. Evans, Jr., is the eulogist. Interment will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 2 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville.
