Ralph E. Padgett, Sr., 68 , of Crescent City, peacefully entered the sunset of life surrounded by his wife and family on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his residence.

Ralph Edward Padgett, Sr, was born on Wednesday, August 7, 1957 to Elbert & Violet (Freeman) Padgett, in Crescent City, Florida.

Ralph was a 1975 graduate of Crescent City High School. He married Susan Denson on October 11, 1981 in Crescent City, Florida. He was a member of the Church of God by Faith in Crescent City. In 1982, Ralph received the Holy Ghost. He was later ordained as a deacon.

Ralph enjoyed playing the guitar, reading the bible, and spending time with his family. He was employed by Putnam County School District, at Miller Intermediate School for 35 years as a custodian. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard for several years.

Deacon Ralph was preceded in eternal rest by his parents, Elbert Padgett Sr., and Violet (Freeman) Padgett; brothers, Elbert “Bubby” Padgett, Jr, Robert Padgett; and sister, Naomi Padgett.

Loving memories of Ralph remain with his wife of 43 years, Susan Padgett; sons, Ralph Jr. (Kanotra) Padgett of Deland, FL, Laronne Washington of Beverly Hills, FL, Brandon (Justine) Padgett of Welaka, FL; daughters, Yolanda (Terry) Gilyard of Palm Coast, FL, April (Romond) Gibson of Deland, FL; 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Elder H. Harry (Ruby) Banks of Crescent City, FL; sisters, Shirley Prince of West Palm Beach, FL, Rose (Jimmy) Giddens of Deland, FL, Cassandra Padgett of DeBary, FL, Deloise Burnett of Seville, FL; godchildren, Nedwin Sanders of Palatka, FL and Kaleigha Roberts of Palm Coast, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
