Quonteveous Quon Leonard Hakeen Taylor, 18, Jacksonville, entered the sunset of life on Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Vincents Medical Center. A native of Palatka, he was born October 3, 1989. Quon had been a resident of Jacksonville for the past five years and recently graduated from Edward White High School (Class of 2008). He was formerly employed at Perkins, KFC, & Krystals Restaurants. On Tuesday, August 12, 2008, his family received notification of his approval and acceptance into the U.S. Navy. Following a planned stint in the military, Quon aspired to pursue a college degree and to become a fashion designer and film producer. He is preceded in eternal rest by his grandfather, Elder William Rutledge, Sr., grandmother, Nancy Boston Golden, and great-grandfather, Willie Watts, Sr. To cherish his memories, Loving parents, Billy & Shelia Golden, Jr., Sisters, Shanterious Rutledge, Brianna Rutledge, Sierra Rutledge, Brittney Golden; Brothers, Ishmael Rutledge, Billy Golden III, Brandon Golden; all of Jacksonville; Grandparents, Louise Rutledge, Billy (Janice) Golden, Sr., Great grandmother, Aldine Watts, all of Palatka; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, August 15, from 5-8 p.m. at James Graham Mortuary, 3631 Moncrief Rd., Jacksonville. Homegoing Services will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Faust Temple Church of God in Christ, 3328 Moncrief Rd., Jacksonville, Bishop Rushie L. Dixon, Pastor. Elder Alonzo Mulberry is the eulogist and Elder T. R. Ruth, presiding. Interment will be Monday, August 18, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill East Cemetery, 2900 Crill Avenue, Palatka.
