Patricia King, 57, of Bronx, NY, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at her residence. The daughter of Edwin King, Sr. and Connie Taylor, she was born on Saturday, April 2, 1966 in Bronx, New York. She was educated in the Broward County School System and was a 1984 graduate of Dillard High School, Fort Lauderdale. During her high school years at Dillard, she excelled in basketball, track, and band. Upon graduation, she attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the Le Cordone Bleu Culinary School in New York State. Her passion was cooking, and she was a health enthusiast. She volunteered at the local food pantry and the Election Polls Administration. Patricia was married to Mr. Ousmane Barry.

She was preceded in eternal rest by her father, Edwin King, Sr.; stepfather, Johnny Williams; two brothers, Paul King and Rodney Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Connie Williams; husband, Ousmane Barry; sons, Donte' Mathis, New York; Denzel (Shaundrel) Thompson, Marietta, GA; daughters, Dominique Thompson, Louisville, GA; Dionne Thompson, Kenner, LA; Demetra Mathis, Palatka; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Sophia) Brooks, Sr., Satsuma; Edwin King, Jr., New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and classmates.
