Ola Bell Nealy Junior, 71, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, July 10th at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, following a brief illness. She was born Friday, December 25, 1936 in Ashburn, Georgia, to Mr. William Bud & Ella Gussie (Johnson) Nealy, and was educated in the Turner County School System in South Georgia. Ola Bell has been a resident of Palatka since 1953, coming from Ashburn. She was a retired homemaker and was previously employed at Putnam-Clay-Flagler Economic Opportunity Council, Inc. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, and helping others. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Walter R. Junior, Sr. She served faithfully as a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and was active in Bible study and Sunday school. She was a loyal member of the Usher Ministry. Although Ola Bell has gone to meet the Lord, her family and dear friends will forever cherish her memories. A host of brothers and sisters, and her husband preceded her in eternal rest. To cherish her memories: 6 devoted daughters, Ella M. Glover, Alveta (Oscar) Williams, Rose Junior, H. Faye Wright, Sharon (Kenny) Walker, all of Palatka, Brenda Harris, Orlando, 3 sisters, Ernestine Nealy, Oreen Jackson, both of Palatka, Vandine Anderson, Orlando, 1 brother, Alton (Inez) Nealy, Palatka, 11 grandchildren, Daryl Haley, Baron Jones, Osteria Williams, Brandon BJ Wilkerson, Jamisha Wright , Minister Jarvis Wright, Kendra Walker, Kenneth KJ Walker Jr. all of Palatka, Yvette Thomas, Labraun Harris Orlando, Thedford Tee Clark Jr. (USMC) Paris Island, South Carolina, 1 great granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family & friends will be Friday, July 18, from 5p.m. 8 p.m. Homegoing services will be Saturday, 11a.m at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 322 North 10th Street, Palatka with Rev. Frederick T. Demps, pastor, eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
