Norma Juanita Usher, 81, of Bunnell, transitioned on Friday, February 24, 2017. The daughter of Elswith Muriel and Emanuel Jesus Allen, she was born in Belize City. In 1952, she was united in marriage to Karl Alexander Usher. In 1960, the couple migrated to New York. Norma was an Episcopalian. She was an accomplished dressmaker, whose skills were in demand by the socialites in Belize and New York. She loved to whistle and sing with a voice that drew the attention and praise of everyone who heard her sing. She also enjoyed arts & crafts, and loved going on cruises with her soulmate of 65 years, Karl.
She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted & loving husband of 65 years, Karl Alexander Usher; devoted daughters, Kirsten Ann Usher Brannon, Dorothy Jean Usher Staine and Linda Juanita Usher Ocasio; stepson, Glenford Grant Usher; grandchildren, Fredrick Staine, Ernest Brannon, Jamal Grant Usher, Abigail Brannon and Belisia Ocasio Velez; great-grandchild, Xena Rose Velez; sisters, Grace Allen Wickham, Margaret Allen Heusner.
A memorial service in honor of Norma's life will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 3 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive North, Palm Coast.
